A cup with real character. These mugs are made from raw, iron-rich ore clay — the kind that's rough and tough to work with, but rewards you with a finish you can't fake. As it fires at high temperature, the iron in the clay rises to the surface in mottled, speckled traces, so every cup comes out with its own subtle texture and depth. The harder clay makes them far trickier to shape, which is exactly why they feel substantial and handmade in a way mass-produced mugs don't.
The top is glazed in soft, muted "macaron" tones — blue, white, black, or caramel — while the bottom is left as bare, natural clay, showing off the raw material it's made from. The result is earthy and modern at once, equally at home holding an espresso or a small pour of tea.
